Britta Mangold gained her first professional experience in the art department for theater and feature film productions working with artists such as Edouardo Paolozzi, Jérome Savary, Otto Schenk and Percy Adlon. On set she discovered her true love, the love for cinematography.
As the first female trainee ever, she completed a one-year internship at ARRI Munich and subsequently worked internationally and nationally with various DoP's as 1st AC.
Since 1994 she has been an independent Director of photography, and has worked several times with Roland Emmerich as Visual Effects Cinematographer for "13th floor", "The Patriot" and "10 000 b.c.".
Britta has shot commercials all over the world and for all major brands. Her focus is always on color and scenery. She loves challenges of all kinds, and doesn't stop to move on!
She shoots feature films, commercials and occasionally documentaries, for commercials she also works as Dir/DoP.
Britta lives with her husband and daughter in Munich and on their farm in Niederbayern.
